your conversations are private. that's not a feature. it's the whole thing.

what we collect
only what we need to make this work, and nothing we'd be uncomfortable explaining to you in person.
- your conversations, stored so you can pick up where you left off.
- account basics: email, and a password we never see in plain text.
- device & usage signals, like browser type, approximate region, crash logs, and page interactions, so the product doesn't break on you.
- billing details, handled by our payment processor (Stripe). we never see your full card number.
what we don't collect
- your real name (unless you give it).
- your contacts, photos, location history, or microphone. we don't ask, and we don't want them.
- tracking pixels from third-party advertisers.
how we use what we collect
three reasons. that's it.
- to give you the product: your chat history, your settings, your account.
- to keep it safe: abuse prevention, fraud detection, security incidents.
- to make it better: aggregated, de-identified signals about what's working and what isn't.
how we store it
everything is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). conversations are stored in isolated, access-controlled databases. only a small number of engineers can touch the systems, and only with logged, audited access. never to read your conversations for fun, curiosity, or analytics.
AI model providers
your conversations are processed by third-party AI providers we contract with to power the chat (e.g. Anthropic, OpenAI). we send only the messages needed to generate a response, under contracts that prohibit them from training on, retaining, or sharing your inputs beyond what's required to return an answer. your account identity is not sent to them.
your control
- read it. you can request a copy of everything we have on you.
- delete it. one click in settings deletes your account and conversations within 30 days.
- correct it. anything wrong, you can change it. anything you can't change yourself, email us.
- opt out of optional analytics, of product emails, of anything non-essential.
cookies
we use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. we use a privacy-respecting analytics tool that doesn't fingerprint or follow you around the internet. no third-party advertising cookies. ever.
kids
this product is for adults. 18 and older. we don't knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18, and if we learn we have, we delete it.
safety
if a conversation suggests someone is in immediate danger, we may surface relevant emergency resources. we are not a crisis service. we are not a clinical service. for crises, please reach a human professional in your country.
changes
if we change this policy in a way that meaningfully affects you, we'll tell you before it takes effect, by email, in the product, or both. minor edits (typos, clarifications) we just date and update.
